I then went on to start my own breeding line 'Jonalaur' i started out with my first Pug 'Molly' and entered into the world of showing...
My Pugs went on to win many awards Best in Show, Best Puppy in Toy Group, Best of Breed to name but a few.
I then studied hard, took all the relevant exams and qualified to be a Dog Show Judge spured on by the fact i was tired of a majority of Judges not judging the actual dog but by who was on the end of the lead !!
Due to personal circumstances i had to rehome all my Pugs which devastated me. 'Jonalaur Drama Queen at Maeba' one of my 'girls' went on to win her 1st Cc at The Pug Dog Club 125th Anniversary Championship Show which was quite an achievement !
I no longer show but i am now in a position to start my line again with German Shepherds & Labradors, I have owned German Shepherds at stages in my life and with both breeds have always loved their temperament and loyalty to the family .
We live on a beautiful non working farm surrounded by fields and the dogs have as much freedom & love as they need...
About Me...
I have been involved with dogs all my life from a very early age.
I have worked as a receptionist at my local vets which was very rewarding on a personal level to be able to offer words of comfort and to give my time to listen with an understanding ear.
I have also owned my own mobile dog washing business which involved bathing and grooming dogs many of which had problems one way or another, one of my favourite moments was when myself and my Husband were confronted by 'Duke' a beautiful German Shepherd who was terrified of water and broke of his collar with just me and my Husband confined in the van but we soon realised he was not agressive in the slightest he just had to overcome his fear of water and by the 3rd visit he climbed into the bath himself, there were a few tears that day but a feeling of achievement that we had helped him overcome his fear so quickly.
